We really appreciate the help this is awesome and we are very thankful. the end of the two hour event, Bowers would be joined by more than 400 others who were provided with both book bags filled with grade level appropriate supplies and information from more than a dozen area agencies and organizations.school supplies get them here, but to me, the goal is to provide families with connections to the services, said event coordinator Chris Garapic of the program, begun 10 years ago through the Medina Family First Council. started us down this path and now there are programs like this in every school district in the county. the past two years, the program has been supported by United Way, Garapic said, noting that while roughly 95 percent of the families served are from Brunswick, parents and students from as far as Strongsville, Broadview Heights and Akron come to the event which is free and open to any student, regardless of the family financial circumstances.
